Everyone is a winner in the Kiwanis Kids Triathlon Series!
Our 2014 series will feature four races throughout the Greater Houston Area.
The Kiwanis Kids Triathlon Series allows young athletes to experience the fun and excitement of triathlon. It's a morning of friendly competition and physical activity that can lead to a lifetime of fitness. The year's races are open to kids with birth years from 2002-2007.
A triathlon is an exciting sport for young athletes because it involves three activities that every child enjoys - swimming, cycling and running. For more than 15 years, Kiwanis Clubs in the Greater Houston Area have sponsored races in the Kiwanis Kids Triathlon Series.
Participants race by "age groupings" determined by their birth years 2002 through 2007. Birth years 2005-2007 swim 50M, bike one mile, and run one quarter mile. The distances are doubled for birth years 2002-2004.
Every participant receives a t-shirt, goodie bag and finisher's medal. The top three boys and girls in each age grouping receive a trophy.
This year's Kiwanis Kids Triathlon Series will once again utilize
chip timing, provided by Run Houston Timing.
Tri bikes are not permitted, per USA Triathlon rules. For a complete list of equipment requirements, click here.
Pre-registration is $25. Race day registration is $30. You may pre-register online or choose walk-up registration on race day. Be aware that registration is limited and some races sell out before race day.
